Unique brand-new property with responsive staff from the maids. Freshly prepared and very very good selection for breakfast with sweet and 5 pieces, as for instance. The location the best and comfortable so close to everything.

Whole place was fairly clean with excellent views; unbeatable location in a city centre in the mid 80s. The staff were gorgeous and charming all the time. The services were nice, offered us very good WiFi.

The setting was bad.

It has magnificent very central location near Madrid centre. Moreover, it is very close to restaurants and places to see, at walkable distance from the Retiro Gardens and atocha station and Museo del Prado.

The room we were upgraded at no charge to was absolutely stunning and relaxing and included central heating, a work desk, and a satellite TV. The hotel was in a marvellous and unbeatable position short walk to nice restaurants, and almost all important sights. Btw, Saint Mary's Cathedral was a stone’s throw away.

The total stay was exceptional for the weekend. Truly enjoyed my a nice size room and its absolutely beautiful decor. The staff was extremely helpful the entire time.

Fairly clean place with roof top views and polite and courteous stuff. Fresh made and incredible breakfast, fantastic food, well priced. Special atmosphere and fantastic service. Amazing pool area too.

The room was well decorated and brand-new with very ample bathrooms, sodas and a balcony and safety measures included smoke detectors. The setting was excellent and the staff were thoughtful people who are very helpful and a prime example of customer service.

The venue is fairly clean and spacious with enthusiastic and courteous staff members. The room is fairly quiet and trendy, comes with sodas, interesting design and coffee. The hotel restaurant is great.

The place was spotlessly clean with an amazing design and exceptionally attentive and very attentive staff. The breakfasts were fresh and absolutely fantastic with 5 pieces, real coffee, sweet and admirable service. I had pleasant days staying at this hip new hotel.

By and large, it was nice comfy base for sightseeing in Madrid, had much fun. The staff were all cool and fabulous, and the room was relaxing with a better view for free. The hotel's location was awesome, so close to many restaurants and coffee shops. The cocktail bar was good!

Overall had delightful stay with 3 nights at Axel at the beginning and 2 at the end of my stay. I truly enjoyed twin/double room.

The rooms are unique and reasonably spacious, have hypoallergenic pillows. The accommodation is in the middle of the town.

Appreciated how my double room was set up. The location was excellent in a perfect area, right by all main monuments, street, major entertainment and hanging-out places and museums, and key Madrid landmarks. Also, the venue was just 1 km from a huge plaza.

Absolutely fabulous and quiet place with very very kind staff who are very helpful and a prime example of customer service. Fairly quiet and trendy room overlooking the roof top. The pool area is heated too. Pretty nice facilities, parking nearby. A great restaurant and a rooftop bar available. Honestly no reason to complain.

Lovely and pretty accommodation with marvellous setting close to to the centre and park between Retiro in the east and the plaza mayor to the west. Gorgeous, charming personnel from the maids. Good views overlooking the roof top from the stunning and relaxing room.

There is a wide range of outstanding food for breakfast. Its rooms are well decorated and brand-new with balcony.

The location is incredible, 1 km from Main Square. It's right by central Madrid, the many bakeries in the area that will serve coffee, pastry and more for less than 5 euro and the city center.

Thoroughly enjoyed the place, had a really great stay for 1 night. It had central location close to Chueca. Distance to the airport was just 25 km. I got exceptional room with interesting design, the bedroom, for example as advertised. The decor was classic and the staff were courteous and kind.

Soundproof rooms with interesting design and welcoming staff, everything was perfect. The pool was nice and I had cool drinks in the sky bar. Moreover, parking was nearby.

The location was unbeatable and stunning, you can visit Teatro Espanol by walking. The employees where pleasant and attentive.

There was no water. The bathroom was dark. Too dark room.

Good choice for 2 nights in Madrid, superior hotel. The downtown is within 5 minutes' walk. It deserves its 4 stars.
